# Plans, Trial, Cancellation and Refunds

> What the AppBlips AI Credits plans cost, how the 3-day free trial works, how to cancel, and when you can get a refund.

AppBlips is free. You only pay if you choose **AppBlips AI Credits**, an optional monthly plan that lets you build without your own API key. If you use your own AI provider, nothing on this page applies to you.

Payments are handled by [Polar](https://polar.sh), AppBlips' payment service. Polar is the seller of record: it takes your payment, sends your receipts, and issues refunds.

## Which part of Settings → Account & Usage do I use?

When you aren't connected, **Settings → Account & Usage** has two separate sections:

* **Already have an AI Credits plan? Connect it:** for people who already started a trial or subscribed. Type the email you used at checkout in **Email you used at checkout**, click **Email me a code**, then enter the code and click **Connect Credits**.
* **New to AI Credits? Sign up:** for people without a plan. Click **Start 3-Day Free Trial** or one of the plan cards. Checkout opens in your web browser. When you finish, come back and use the **Connect** section above.

Once you're connected, the page shows your email and balance instead. There you can click **Refresh balance**, **Disconnect** or **Cancel subscription**. To switch plans, click any card under **Change AI Credits plan**, then **Continue** on the prompt. Your customer page on Polar opens in your web browser: sign in with your checkout email, change your plan there, then click **Refresh balance** in AppBlips. Changing plan during the free trial ends the trial and starts the new plan right away.

## Plans

There are four plans: the free trial, then three monthly plans. Every monthly plan renews automatically each month until you cancel, and each month you get that month's credits.

* **3-Day Free Trial:** Start your 3-day free trial with 100 AI credits. A valid payment method is required. After your 3-day trial ends, your subscription automatically converts to the Starter Plan at \$10 a month (plus applicable taxes). [Cancel](#cancel-your-plan) any time in **Settings → Account & Usage** before your trial expires to avoid being charged. Unused trial credits don't roll over. See [Free trial](#free-trial).
* **Starter Plan:** Start your Starter Plan with 1,000 AI credits every month. A valid payment method is required. Your subscription automatically renews at \$10 a month (plus applicable taxes). [Cancel](#cancel-your-plan) any time in **Settings → Account & Usage** before your next billing date to avoid being charged. Credits reset each month; unused credits don't roll over.
* **Builder Plan:** Start your Builder Plan with 2,750 AI credits every month, including 250 bonus credits. A valid payment method is required. Your subscription automatically renews at \$25 a month (plus applicable taxes). [Cancel](#cancel-your-plan) any time in **Settings → Account & Usage** before your next billing date to avoid being charged. Credits reset each month; unused credits don't roll over.
* **Studio Plan:** Start your Studio Plan with 6,000 AI credits every month, including 1,000 bonus credits. A valid payment method is required. Your subscription automatically renews at \$50 a month (plus applicable taxes). [Cancel](#cancel-your-plan) any time in **Settings → Account & Usage** before your next billing date to avoid being charged. Credits reset each month; unused credits don't roll over.

Prices don't include any taxes that apply where you live. Polar adds them at checkout.

### How credits are used

Credits pay for every build, edit, review and Ask reply. A small request costs about one credit. A full build costs more, because credits are used up by the amount of text the AI reads and writes.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Credits don't roll over. Unused credits are lost when your plan renews, and the new month's credits replace them.

## Free trial

The trial gives you 100 credits for 3 days, enough to build and edit your first one or two apps or websites.

* **A valid payment method is required to start.** You aren't charged during the 3 days.
* **After your 3-day trial ends, you move to the Starter Plan.** It costs \$10 a month (plus applicable taxes), gives you 1,000 credits for that month, and renews automatically until you cancel.
* **Cancel before your trial expires and you are never charged.** Your access continues until the trial ends.
* **Unused trial credits don't roll over.** They aren't added to the Starter Plan's credits.
* **You can use the trial once per customer.**
* **If you use all 100 credits before the 3 days end,** AppBlips tells you when you next ask for something. To keep building straight away, switch to a plan on your Polar customer page (see [Plans](#plans)); otherwise you get the Starter Plan's credits when the trial ends.

## Cancel your plan

Cancelling stops future renewals. Credits you already received for the current month can still be used until that month ends.

**1. Open your account settings**

In AppBlips, open **Settings → Account & Usage**.

**2. Connect your credits**

If you aren't connected yet, go to **Already have an AI Credits plan? Connect it**. Type the email you used at checkout, click **Email me a code**, then type the code from the email. The **Cancel subscription** button only shows once you're connected.

**3. Go to your customer page**

Click **Cancel subscription**, then **Continue** on the prompt. Your web browser opens your customer page on Polar.

**4. Sign in**

Use the same email you used at checkout. Polar emails you a code.

**5. Cancel the subscription**

Find your subscription and click the cancel option.

> [!NOTE]
>
> **Disconnect** in AppBlips only forgets the connection on your computer. It does **not** cancel your plan. Uninstalling AppBlips doesn't cancel it either. Always cancel on the Polar page.

## Refunds

Approved refunds are issued by Polar to the card you paid with.

* **Unused monthly credits:** you can request a full refund of a monthly charge within 24 hours of that charge, if none of that month's credits have been used.
* **Used or partly used credits:** once any of a month's credits have been spent, that charge isn't automatically refundable. Refunds also aren't guaranteed more than 24 hours after a charge. Cancelling stops future renewals.
* **Free trial:** the trial itself is free. The \$10 charge when it ends is a monthly charge like any other, so the same rules apply: you can ask for a refund within 24 hours if you haven't used any of that month's credits.
* **AI results:** AI isn't perfect, and by using AppBlips you accept that. Credits are used each time the AI runs, whatever the result. We aren't obligated to refund a charge or restore credits because you're unhappy with what the AI produced, or because a build, edit, fix or review didn't work, had errors or didn't do what you asked. Getting the result you want can take a few attempts, and each one uses credits.
* **Case by case:** if something went badly for you, you can still ask. We look at each request individually and may refund all or part of a charge, or restore credits, at our discretion. Doing so once doesn't mean we have to do it again.
* **Billing errors:** if you were charged credits for a request that never ran because of an error on our servers, contact us and we'll restore those credits. This doesn't cover the quality or outcome of AI results.

To ask for a refund:

1. Open your email app and write a new message to [support@appblips.com](mailto:support@appblips.com).
2. Send it from the email address you used at checkout.
3. Include your Polar order number if you have it. It's in your receipt email from Polar.

Refunded credits are removed from your balance.

AppBlips can't refund charges from an AI provider you set up yourself, because those are billed by the provider. Nothing here limits any refund or withdrawal rights you have under the consumer law of your country.
